Dealing with Dementia

Dealing with Dementia, developed by the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving (RCI), is an evidence-based educational support program for caregivers of people living with dementia. The program is derived from RCI’s acclaimed REACH program and delivered in a group setting.
Kadamba Tree Foundation is proud to be RCI’s program site for Dealing with Dementia in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
The Dealing with Dementia program includes:
A four-hour workshop in a classroom setting for either family or professional caregivers of people living with dementia;
The Dealing with Dementia Guide, a 360 page comprehensive manual for dementia caregivers;
Instruction on how to use the Dealing with Dementia Guide to find vital caregiving information whenever needed;
Helpful insights into the caregiving experience including: an easily accessible explanation of dementia, problem solving strategies for dementia behaviors, and tips to help caregivers manage stress and find time for self-care.
