    "Householders" in ActionYoga is widely hailed as a relaxing activity. Some also consider it a fitness modality. But what is traditional yoga therapy? And how can it help family caregivers manage their responsibilities?

    Please join us on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 2:30pm to 4pm to find out.

    This free workshop will include a 50-minute yoga practice as well as a presentation and discussion about managing stress as a family caregiver.

    Note: This is not a fitness class. The class will consist of simple movements and gestures combined with breathing and reflection exercises. Come as you are. No special equipment or attire is required.

    Join us for an open, honest discussion about what it means to be a caregiver. We’ll talk about its challenges and triumphs and meet other family caregivers to share information and mutual support.

    Part Two: Sowing Seeds for Effective Caregiving

    Sun., Nov. 24, 2013, 2:30-4pm

    We’ve all heard that it’s important for caregivers to take of themselves. But what does that mean? We’ll talk about why self care is critical for effective caregiving and explore specific strategies for caring for ourselves.

    Pre-registration isn’t required, but is recommended before Nov. 20 to reserve a workshop packet. Register for one or both workshops at info@kadambatree.org.
