    Fall 2016 Caregiver ConferenceJoin Kadamba Tree Foundation and the DC Office on Aging for the 2016 Fall Caregiver Conference: Educating, Empowering, and Supporting Family Caregivers.

    This free conference is open to area family caregivers who help care for aging loved ones and loved ones with long-term illnesses and disabilities. Respite provided for qualifying caregivers.*

    Participants may choose to attend morning and/or afternoon workshops, including two workshops from the Rosalyn Carter Institute’s acclaimed “Caring for You, Caring for Me” program:

    Building Cooperative Relationships on the Care Team (Morning Session):

    This interactive workshop will focus on understanding and building cooperative relationships between members of the care team. Participants will discover strategies for working together to reduce some of the frustrations and barriers they face in their caregiving roles. (Both professional and family caregivers are welcome to attend.)

    Problem Solving for Caregivers (Afternoon Session):

    This interactive workshop will explore common problems faced by caregivers. Participants will learn how to use, as well as practice implementing, a problem solving model designed for caregivers.

    Elder Abuse and Caregiving
